Ivan Savvidis

Within the last few weeks interest has emerged from the Pontian businessman Ivan Savvidis for the purchase of PAOK Thessaloniki. The Russian tycoon has expressed interest in not only purchasing PAE PAOK but also the hallowed turf of Toumba along with KAE PAOK and AS PAOK.
If the bid is successful, the Pontian millionaire plans to rebuild Toumba and turn Northern Greece's biggest sporting club into a profitable franchise.
Part stake holder, AS PAOK is currently in debate as to whether or not to allow the purchase to proceed which would essentially give Savvidis entire control of PAOK Thessaloniki and all its assets.
