PAOK continued it's good form by defeating relegation threatened Xanthi by 3-0 in a game which they dominated throughout the match.
In the 7th minute of the match PAOK got off to flying start when a free kick taken by Lino from the left found Vierihna who scored at the near post with a close range header. In the 13th minute the game was all over as a contest when Sznaucner pass found Vierihna who's cross from the right found an unmarked Ivic who scored with a close range header. In the 22nd minute a nice through ball by Ivic split the Xanthi defence open which found Muslimovic who was through on goals but his touch let him down and Xanthi's keeper came to the rescue to clear the danger. In the 37th minute a long range effort by Snzaucner from outside the penalty area was parried away for a corner by Gsbourning.
In the second half it was all PAOK and it was no surprise that they went 3-0 ahead in the 66th minute when a cut back from Ivic found Vierihna who scored with ease inside the penalty area and score his 2nd goal of the match. In the 78th minute a great chance for PAOK to go further ahead a Muslimovic header was saved with his feet by Gsbourning and from the same passage of play Ivic seem to be impeded inside the penalty area but referee paid the advantage which the ball fell to Sorlen who's shot hit the post and the danger was cleared. In the end a great result and great display by PAOK against a relegation threatened Xanthi side who had no answers to PAOK's dominance.

PAOK COACH FERNANDO SANTOS PRESS CONFERENCE: From the start of the match we were the dominate team especially in the first 15 minutes where we scored 2 goals. After the first 15 minutes we dropped off and lost control of the game. I don't know why. For 15 minutes we couldn't put a pass together and allowed Xanthi back into the game. From the 30th minute we took control of the match again.
In the second half we played much better. This was another step to another victory which we wanted.Now we look forward to our next match against Panthrakikos.
