PAOK got revenge from Giannina after being knocked out the cup 10 days earlier this time defeating them in the league by 1-0.
PAOK had most of the possession in the first half and it was no suprise that they created the first chance in the 10th minute when Muslimovic layed the ball of to Fotakis and with a long range effort was parried away for a corner by Eleftheropoulos. In the 17th minute PAOK was unlucky not to take the lead when Kotsios mistimed clearance hit the post from a Lino cross. In the 39th minute a cross from Christiano found fotakis who's header was parried away for a corner by Eleftheropoulos. In the 43rd minute PAOK finally did take the lead when Vierihna layed of to Fotakis who scored with a thunderbolt from outside the penalty area.
In the second half PAOK had the first chance of the half in the 56th minute when a mistake by Kotsios allowed Muslimovic though on goals and with only the keeper to beat he shot wide of the target. In the 64th minute more discipline problems for PAOK as they were reduced to 10 men after Arabatzis received a red card and a 2nd yellow card following grabbing the shirt of Dimbala. In the 65th minute a direct free kick taken by Mendrinos was saved on the near post by Chalkias and on the rebound Muslimovic was at the right place to block Sisic shot. In the end it was a good win for PAOK and this win must be dedicated to Pablo Garcia for the sudden loss of his mother.

PAOK COACH FERNANDO SANTOS PRESS CONFERENCE: We were better than our opponents today. We created chances and were never threatened by Giannina. We dedicate this win to Pablo Garcia and his family who are going through tough times at the moment.
Regarding the sending off of Arabatzis, Nikos gives everything for the team. We have to talk to him to control himself to avoid these mistakes. Fortunately we didn't pay for the sending off.

KOSTAS CHALKIAS: The only good thing we can take from today's match is the win. Today as you saw we played in a paddock at both ends of the goals. It's a disgrace for the super league to play in these conditions. This is dangerous for the players playing in these conditions.
